Where do I start?

Journey pic

It’s been a long time..I don’t even remember the last time I blogged. I mean I’ve started writing here and there, but I would skip and totally forget about it. I started blogs a few times. I’ve even changed my blog names and links too many times. But now I’m back.

I’ve been in a rut so far. And by rut I don’t mean I wasn’t happy. I was happy…but not wildly happy. I was satisfied..but not wildly satisfied.  My greatest fulfillment is being a mom. I LOVE IT. Being a single mom however has its challenges. And the older my not so little one gets, the more challenging it becomes.

I’ve been an RN for 6 years now. It was a goal of mine that I set on to achieve. When I was in nursing school I ventured on different businesses. In my mind I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. So I decided to make an income out of things I love doing- all of which points to teaching. I started a home pole party business which was picking up until I stopped. To add into my pole business I signed up for Slumber Parties. I even became a Beach Body coach.

During my nursing career I got connected with Doterra, Herbalife and Advocare. I believe in these products but I realize that I resonated more with the teaching part rather than selling. I wanted to teach wellness and not sell wellness products. That’s not my niche.

Then comes Health Coach Institute. I was initially looking for life coaching courses but this company is amazing- they offer both Health Coaching and Life Coaching Certification in one program. I was sold. (Disclaimer: I am not a stockholder of HCI, I’m simply a student.)

So here I am, and I made a commitment to share my journey with you, my reader. I know that this will not be an easy journey (especially with a young one). In fact it will probably take me a year to finish a 6 month course. But If I can do this- find something meaningful to pursue in my career (and not just trade my time for an RN paycheck – which is in and on itself quite stable most of the time), then I’m hoping that you will find inspiration to pursue that which makes your heart and soul shoot up.

I’ll be around. 🙂
